Jim Harbaugh

Harbaugh opened his weekly press conference with a monologue calling for a revenue-sharing system with athletes, calling the status quo unacceptable and saying schools that capitalize on talent should pay the talent.

At CFP national championship media day, Harbaugh proposed that everyone profiting from athletes (coaches, administrators, conferences, universities, the NCAA) take 5 to 10% less, plus a 10% tax on TV money, all pooled for athletes in every sport.

The morning after winning the national title, Harbaugh said the one thing he would change is letting players share in revenues, and called unionization the next step if institutions won't do it themselves.
